Tumble Wrestling
Physics-driven wrestling where every slam carries real weight. Grapple opponents across the mat, throw them into the ropes, and climb the turnbuckle for something spectacular — then spend what the win pays on Strength and Stamina back at the gym.
Divisions stack up from the opening card to the wrestlers guarding the belts, and each one hits harder than the last. Roster regulars like Big Jim Deere, Brock Swinehart and Benito Sharp all have to be gone through on the way.
How to Play Tumble Wrestling
- Pick a wrestler and start at the opening card. Divisions unlock upward, so the first opponents are the gentlest introduction the game offers.
- Grapple using the direction controls — the on-screen grapple arrow shows which way a hold will throw. The instructions screen in the menu lays out the full control map.
- Use the ring itself. Ropes send opponents rebounding back into range, and the turnbuckle sets up the heavier finishers.
- Build the special meter through the match, then spend it on a special or ultimate move when an opponent is already staggered.
- Between matches, put winnings into Strength and Stamina at the gym. Strength raises what each hit takes off; stamina decides how long a match can be survived.
- Clear a division to move up and put its belt on the line. The wrestlers guarding the later belts punish an under-trained roster spot.
Tips & Strategy
- Train before climbing. Divisions scale faster than winnings do, so entering a new tier on untouched stats is the usual reason a run stalls.
- Spend the special meter on a staggered opponent rather than a fresh one — a recovering wrestler cannot break the animation.
- The ropes are a positioning tool, not just spectacle. A rebound buys distance when stamina is running low.
- Balance the two stats rather than pouring everything into Strength. Matches in the upper divisions are decided by whoever is still standing, not whoever hits hardest.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Tumble Wrestling free to play?
Yes. It runs free in the browser with no account and no download — the game loads directly on this page.
Is Tumble Wrestling still on Poki?
No. The game ran on Poki for about six years and the rights have since returned to Gruffazilla, its original developer. Gruffazilla.com is where the game lives now, and this is the current build.
Does Tumble Wrestling work on a phone?
No. It needs a keyboard, so it runs on desktop and laptop computers only and is hidden on touch devices. That is a genuine limitation of this game rather than a temporary one.
What is the gym for?
The gym is where match winnings are converted into Strength and Stamina. Strength raises damage output and stamina extends how much punishment can be absorbed, and progress through the later divisions depends on both.
How many divisions are there?
Divisions run from the opening card up through the tiers guarding the championship belts, each with its own roster and its own belt to take. Later divisions expect a trained wrestler rather than a fresh one.
